Can I retake the diagnostic? +
Yes. Your access code unlocks the diagnostic once — but once you are inside, you can retake it as many times as you need. If your research situation changes, or if you want to assess a different ancestor or line, retake it. The routing responds to your answers, not to a profile.
What if I am assigned the wrong pathway? +
Answer the questions honestly and the routing will be accurate. The diagnostic is not testing your knowledge — it is reading your research situation. If you answer what you think the "right" answer is rather than what is actually true about your case, the routing will reflect that. Retake it with honest answers if the first result feels off.
What are the additional worksheets and do I need them? +
Each pathway has additional worksheets beyond the one included with the diagnostic. They are shown on your results page — locked at $17 each — and purchased individually as you need them. What happens if I am routed to Reconstruction? +

The methodology was built in the context of African American genealogy research — the most difficult archival landscape in American genealogy — but it applies to anyone doing hard ancestral research. If your research crosses emancipation, pre-1870 territory, name instability, record loss, or non-European kinship systems, the methodology is built for your situation regardless of background.
What is the Clarity Session and do I need one? +
